Flowers for Friends #32: Just like Grandma and Papa Used to Do It | Original Mixed-Media Floral Painting

My grandparents were folk artists. My Papa would make something beautiful and useful from wood, like shelves, chairs, tables, step stools or children's toys, and then my Grandma would paint them. So when I was working through a week of Texas wildflower paintings, and I got to painting this cup, it made me think of them. The rooster is in my own style, but it's definitely something my Granda Patsy would have painted on something my Papa made.
