I grew up believing that it was illegal. And while this is not true, it is considered disrespectful, which is why you'll only ever see bluebonnets painted into my bouquets and never in real life.

However, it is very popular to have the annual family Bluebonnet portrait taken on a hill covered in these beautiful flowers, which represent sacrfice and selflesness for the good of your people.
